The Greater Antilles are the endemic home of Vanilla planifolia. We trace the vanillin formation in the native plant to phosphorus compounds carried across by the Atlantic trade winds from the Sahara — an estimated 80,000 tonnes of Saharan dust settle on the north coast of the Dominican Republic every year, and have done so for millions of years.
That is why our vanilla is among the finest in the world.
Our relationship with vanilla begins with mother's milk. Long before we taste ice cream or a fragrant dessert, we meet a sweet, calming aroma at our mother's breast — in the moment we come into the world. Those warm, gentle vanilla notes are among a newborn's first scents: a primal signal of safety, comfort and calm.
“Vanilla is not something we learn to love — it is something we remember.”
Vanilla does not grow by itself. Behind every bearing orchid are people who know the plant, watch it and walk it through the year. Each flower opens for only a short window and must be pollinated by hand — there is no machine for this work.
Two locations in the Dominican Republic, run by our own company on the ground: the main farm in Tenares and the model farm near San Francisco de Macorís.
Cultivation, expansion and finished product — each stage of the chain carries its own name, and all three belong to PURONILLA AG.
PURONILLA is the group's production brand: cultivation, care and fermentation at two of our own locations in the Dominican Republic. Vanilla as the core crop, alongside cardamom, cacao and honey — crops that share the same shade, the same support trees and the same hands.

VANILLA VALLEY is the expansion brand — and the way to support our work. We provide seedlings, the cultivation plan, farm management and offtake — partners bring land and capital. The harvest from every project runs through our fermentation and is marketed through the Swiss company.

Every plant you buy is propagated: from year 4 one plant bears, from year 6 one and a half, from year 7 two, from year 9 two and a half, from year 10 three. Basis: 2 kg of green vanilla per plant and year, purchase price {{ tkFull }} USD per kilo, 50 % of which is yours ({{ tkShare }} USD) — not a guarantee; harvest volumes may vary.
We put together the contract, the plot location and the schedule for the number of plants you choose.
We answer personally. No obligation arises from this request.
IYAYA develops, manufactures, assembles and packs the group's consumer products — from spices and honeys to ceremonial cacao and ritual boxes. The brand carries the name of our smaller location: what grows and is tested there later ends up in the jar.
Vanilla is handwork — pollination, harvest, fermentation and grading. Behind every batch are people who accompany the plant for months.
PURONILLA AG holds 100 % of the operating company in the Dominican Republic. Contracts, reporting and capital run through Switzerland; cultivation, staff, land and production sit on the ground.
Whether it is the LEGACY COLLECTION, land ownership at EL VALLE ESTATES or supporting the country’s smallholders (from December 2026) — tell us briefly what you have in mind. We reply personally.

The value growth is only realized if you sell plants.
Illustrative calculation at an unchanged current purchase price (plant owner share) and a value gain of USD 30 per plant and year. The plant value is a guide value for selling the plants you own and requires a buyer. Excluding length premium. No yield or value commitment.
Illustrative calculation at an unchanged current purchase price ({{ tkFull }} USD per kilo, your share {{ tkShare }} USD), not a commitment; length premium not included. Harvest proceeds from the fourth year at the earliest. Plant value growth is assumed at USD 30 per plant and year — a maximum value that presumes a healthy plant of average size. All values are set anew each year and may differ. No land share — the ground stays with the project operator.
